The results showed that, while the cobalt content of the lead-zinc ores was negligible, it was significant in the copper ores. Cobalt showed a positive linear correlation with iron rather than copper, especially in the final copper tailings product, where iron …
Flotation kinetic behavior of two deposits including an elevated-pyritic (Cu/S=0.21) complex copper sulfide ore and a high-grade carbonaceous sedimentary apatite (P2O5>25%) ore were investigated.
Copper flotation can be also more complicated if flotation feed comes from an elevated-pyritic copper ore. In this investigation, the effect of two different ore types (high pyritic and low pyritic feeds) was studied on …
Pyritic copper ore sample was taken from Siirt- Madenköy Copper Mine in South-East of Turkey. According to the mineralogical analyses, the ore sample contains chalcopyrite (CuFeS 2 ), sphalerite ...
Copper flotation can be also more complicated if flotation feed comes from an elevated-pyritic copper ore. In this investigation, the effect of two different ore types (high pyritic and low pyritic feeds) was studied on rougher stage of industrial copper flotation circuit. The pyritic copper–gold ore used in this study was obtained from a copper–gold mine in Asia. The pyrite rougher concentrate was obtained by two-stage copper and pyrite rougher flotation using the conditions in Table 1 and reported in Agorhom et al. (2013). However, in the present studies, the focus is to examine flotation …
Recently, the copper industry is facing a challenge in dealing with low-grade copper ores and the flotation performance deteriorates when a copper ore with an elevated pyrite proportion is processed. This study investigated the effect of pyrite proportion on chalcopyrite and pyrite flotation via a tri-mineral system (chalcopyrite …
Then pyritic copper ore was used to compare the results with pure pyrite sample. 2. Experimental 2.1. Material In this study pure a pyrite sample for fundamental studies and pyritic copper ore to prove fundamental studies in real situation were used. Pure pyrite sample was obtained from Murgul-Artvin in the northeast of Turkey.
pyritic ore through these cells causes reduction in copper grade. Another interesting point is the sharp plunge in copper grade from cells 5 to 10 in the case of high pyritic ore seems to decrease ...

Both IPETC and W34 are used in the concentrator which is processing a high-pyritic Cu ore simulated in this study. In addition, IPETC is a widely used Cu-selective collector against pyrite in copper flotation (Botero et al., 2022, Mkhonto et al., 2022), and the selection of IPETC in this study represents the industry practice. Sodium hydroxide ...
