Four kaolin/water mixtures were obtained by PNNL from FAI. The shear strengths of these mixtures were measured, and a correlation was developed relating shear strength and wt% clay. This correlation is needed to estimate the shear strengths of specific kaolin/water mixtures used in the vessel-spanning bubble tests.
