I have a coarse wheel on one side (60grit Bay state gray wheel) and a very fine wheel on the other (I think it's a 180grit brown/tan colored wheel by Norton, leaves a beautiful polished edge). I hone my tools after grinding. The more polished the edge, the better your finish. Now for carbide.
